Nathan joined B&K in 2020 and has led the ongoing transformation of the finance organization by improving processes and developing team members. His department provides the relevant and accurate financial information that helps the company make good business decisions, and he and his team are implementing systems to support the growth of the company.
Prior to B&K, Nathan served as director of finance for JES Holdings, a commercial real estate organization that develops and manages affordable housing. There, he oversaw many aspects of the financial enterprise and developed new policies and systems to drive efficiency and improve performance.
Nathan began his career as a vice president in the fixed income division of Morgan Stanley, working in New York, San Francisco and Atlanta over a seven-year period. After taking time off to pursue an MBA, he joined PwC as a senior associate in the valuation practice, where he analyzed the financial performance of companies and determined fair value of businesses and assets.
While growing up, Nathan played football, basketball and soccer, and later had a short stint playing football for the University of Georgia as a walk-on. While on a gap year before starting graduate school, he built playgrounds around the country with the national nonprofit KaBOOM. Today, he has a wide range of interests, including global travel, running, cooking and serving as a mentor to business students. He lives with his wife and three children in Decatur, Ga.
“As teams develop and systems improve, our company accomplishes things that didn’t seem possible in the past. I get a lot of satisfaction in helping that process unfold.”
